2023 Overcomer Award Winner - Jaime Counterman

To raise your hand when others will not, together with a willingness to lend your voice when others remain silent takes courage.  In this spirit Cascade Community Foundation proudly presents the Overcomer Award in recognition of individuals who have demonstrated courage in raising awareness around subject matter and topics often avoided in our community.

Jaime Counterman

Jaime Counterman is force for good. As the Foundation Director at University of Michigan Health-West, she uses her position to deliver critical wellness and mental health resources to employees advocating for whole person care including body, mind, and spirit. 

Jaime fiercely advocates for those who are neurodivergent, and leverages her personal and professional networks to destigmatize Autism, ADHD, bi-polar disorder, anxiety and more. 

In 2022, Jaime publicly shared her personal story during Failure Lab, with hopes of reaching others battling similar experiences, and demonstrating what it looks like to overcome the odds.
